PMC Lab recommends this test be collected at the PMC Lab as the sample must go out same day to get to UVMMC to be tested. Sample has 48 hour stability so timing is important.

This test is not collected on Saturday or Sunday.

Samples collected in sodium heparin must be tested within 48 hours of collection. Samples collected in EDTA must be tested within 30 hours of collection.  Samples must be kept at ambient temperature after collection and during transport.  Lithium heparin, ACD, and other tube types are not acceptable.
