Specimen Requirements

Specimen Type: Blood
Container/Tube: Tiger top, serum gel
Also Acceptable: Green top (Lithium Heparin)
Specimen Volume: Full tube, submit 1.0 mL
Specimen Minimum Volume: 0.6 mL
Collection Instructions:
Allow specimen to clot at ambient temperature. Centrifuge within 4 hours of collection and submit 1.0 mL of serum. Serum is stable up to 48 hours refrigerated.
