Specimen Requirements and Collection

Specimen Type:  Throat swab

Container/Tube:  E-Swab

Collection Instructions:  

     1. Swab throat 

     2.  Place swab back in container, breaking shaft off at mark

     3.  Secure cap on container

     4.  Label specimen with patient's name and date of birth

     5.  Unlabeled samples will be discarded and will need to be recollected per CLIA guidelines.
