Specimen Requirements

Specimen Type: Urine

Container/Tube: 24 HR Urine Container

Specimen Volume: 10.0 mL; submit whole 24 hr urine container

Minimum Volume: 0.5 mL 

Collection Instructions: 

  1. Submit entire urine cup. Make sure lid is securely attached. 
  2. Place patient label on container, not on lid. 
  3. No preservative. 
  4. Refrigerate specimen during collection.  
  5. Urine samples are stabled for 5 days refrigerated (2-8 degress C).
