Specimen Requirements

Specimen Type: Whole blood
Container/Tube: Lavender (EDTA)

Acceptable: Lavender Microtainer filled to line

Specimen Volume: 1 full tube

Specimen Minimum Volume: 1.5 mL

Collection Instructions: 

1. Tube must at least 1/2 full.

2. Mix sample by inverting several times.

3. Send specimen in original tube, unspun, room temperature or refrigerated.

4. Sample stable 24 hours at room temperature or refrigerated.

5. Test subject to Medicare National Coverage Decision (NCD).
