Specimen Requirements

Specimen Type: Urine
Container/Tube: Clean Plastic Container
Specimen Volume: 5 ml; submit  2.0 mL urine
Specimen Minimum Volume: 1.0 mL
Collection Instructions:
1. Send specimen in a clean plastic container with lid securely attached.
2. Place patient label on container, not on lid.
3. No preservative.

4. Refrigerate specimen after collection.
5.  Urine samples are stable for 4 days refrigerated (2 – 8ºC)
