Specimen Requirements

Specimen Type: Urine
Container/Tube: Plastic Container
Specimen Volume: 5 ml; submit  2.0 mL urine
Specimen Minimum Volume: 1.0 mL
Collection Instructions:
1. Send specimen in plastic container with lid securely attached.
2. Place patient label on container, not on lid.
3. No preservative. Refrigerate specimen after collection.
4. Urine samples are stable for 4 days at 2 – 8ºC
